Zombies Invade Southridge Mall!
undead4life, 24.11.2007 11:43
On black friday, the living dead came to the mall with the intention of feasting upon the consumer hoards.
The zombies descended upon Southridge to appease their insatiable hunger for brains...and bargains!
With ghastly cries of "must consume!", "sales!", and of course "brains!" these undead fiends raided every corner of the mall, leaving no sale un-discovered, no brain un-devoured, and no Hot Topic employee un-harassed.
The most horrifying reality though, was that with the exception of their rotting flesh and penchant for brains, this troupe of zombies was no different than the thousands upon thousands of other living dead roaming the malls that day.
Beware this holiday season; the necropalypse is at hand!
Pictures soon.

termporarypic tilsomething bettercomesalong. :)
The Black Friday banner drop at The Westchester represents a stand against the mindless consumption of the Christmas season and commodification of culture at the expense of workers and the environment. We of the Westchester Rebel Alliance believe that consumerism and gentrification are two sides of the same coin, that the chaos of Black Friday is a nightmare for the mall’s underpaid workers to the benefit of its chains’ bottom-line, and that the presence of an upscale mall such as The Westchester in a historically working-class area raises housing prices and drives local stores out of business, forcing residents to move out of White Plains and sacrificing their vital input in the community. The slogan on our banner, “Stop Sweatshop Slavery,” signifies solidarity with our oppressed brothers and sisters in developing countries who made the products suburban shoppers arrived to snap up.

marco, please don't post pictures of things that aren't part of the action with our actions. It's confusing to people. People have thought we dropped this banner. It's a little wierd for mods to edit articles posted as well. I appreciate the sentiment though.

If people had looked at "properties" of that photo they'd see that it was called something to the effect of "relatedfototilsomethingbettercomesalong" or some such.
I guess I could've wiped that photo when "TITLE" feature wasn't working on it.
I can't expect everyone to know to right click and view properties, eh?
Just so you know though, newspapers all over the world edit headlines and images. It's not that weird.
Text has never been edited at milwaukee indymedia unless they were contacted and asked for something such as phone number, last name or email address removal.
cheers, marco

Good idea. Bad follow through.
Is that 3-4 zombies total? Maybe 5 including the camera person?
Pretty poor makeup.
