EYEWITNESS: IRAQ -- Local Vets Share Their Experiences
Last December, six veterans of the "Global War on Terror" spoke to a
crowded hall at UW-Milwaukee, offering a rarely heard perspective on
our nation's military presence overseas. They discussed the effect of
the Iraq occupation on our troops, on the Iraqis, their physical and
emotional wounds, and much more. 1 hr 30 mins.

A lot of the people who are in PSM are also in SDS. SDS actually was the group that put on this event.

Basically all of the people who organized this event left SDS, due to internal issues within SDS, and continue to do this sort of work out of PSM.
Coming later this month PSM and Iraq Vets Against the War are hosting a screening of the Vietnam-era "Winter Soldier" film, to raise money to send Milwaukee Iraq vets to the new Winter Soldier event in DC in March, where they will publicly report on war crimes they witnessed while overseas. Some beliefs within our group may vary, but I think it's safe to say we created this group because we believe an active and supporting student contingent is important to further progressive movements within our community and abroad.
We're not saying we are the movement. We are merely working to harness the intellectual and physical energy that exists on this campus of 20,000+ youngsters into progressive causes.
...And it's just a name. Are you being curious or critical?
