This is the schedule of Milwaukee Free School classes in the month of March.
All classes this month are held at the Cream City Collectives at 732 e. Clarke. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. All classes are free and open to the public. Hope to see you there!
Free Spanish Class: A free introductory Spanish class, open to all people, of any background and experience. Every Thursday 5PM
Writers Un-Workshop: Developing more creative writing skills outside of formal education. All writers and forms of writing are welcome! Every Sunday, 2PM.
Jazz History: Exploring and appreciating the history of jazz and early American music. Every Monday at Noon and again at 6PM.
Bike Fixin’: Basic bike maintenance and repair. Friday the 21st, 1PM
Guitar Sight Reading: Will focus on reading notation and tablature for beginning and intermediate guitarists. Fretboard recognition and technique will be explored. Good practicing habits will also be discussed. Every Wednesday (except the 19th), 7:30PM
Improvisation: Using vibration sound to express emotion. Traditional improvisation through scale study as well as open sound improvisation. Every Wednesday (except the 19th), 8:30PM
Thursday Afternoon: An open look at natural sciences, gardens, botany, medicinal herbs. Every Thursday (except the 20th), 3PM
Psychological Effects of Racism and Oppression: Deconstructing society’s corrupt support system and how it haunts everyone. Every Monday at 4:30PM (Starting Monday the 10th)
Anarchist discussion group: Anti-Authoritarian discussions & practice. Every Sunday (except the 9th) at Noon.
Photographers Autonomous: Shooting and group critique. Soon to have access to a new darkroom at the CCC. Every Friday at Noon.
Hebrew: Modern spoken Hebrew class. Every Tuesday at 3PM
Hemp Workshop: Craft around with hemp. Friday the 14th at 4PM
No RNC: Speakers from the RNC Welcoming Committee will discuss resistance against the Republican National Convention 9/1/08 in St. Paul, MN. (Ghost Mice will perform afterwards). Wednesday the 19th 5PM
Rah! Radical Cheerleading/Trash Orchestra: Some creative rebellion through unconventional cheerleading and drum beatz made from “trash”. Every Thursday at 7PM
DIY Hair Cutting: Learn to cut hair, and practice! Wednesday the 5th at 6PM and Wednesday the 19th at 1PM
Open Yoga: an open yoga session. Every Wednesday 3PM
Save our Busses!: Members of the Transit Riders Union will facilitate a community discussion to talk about the changes and cuts being made to the transit system, and how we can stop those cuts. Monday the 10th at 7PM
